Biosafety and Health at Work Policy

In Gachantivá, on the 30th day of April 2020, CARLOS JULIO REINA GUERRERO, in my capacity as legal representative of the company POSADA ECOTURISTICA VILLA ROUSE SAS, by means of this document I formally pronounce myself and define my position, through of a policy ratifying the commitment towards Health and Safety at work; and I am responsible for directing the efforts of the company aimed at providing workers and people who interact with a healthy and safe work environment, and I am committed to the design and implementation of a Health and Safety Management System at Work, in accordance with Colombian legislation and current national and international regulations in order to:

Identify the hazards, evaluate them and assess the risks and define the respective controls.
Prevent and control external and environmental factors originating in the workplace that can cause illnesses, accidents and lack of comfort to the worker.
Protect and maintain the highest level of well-being, both physical and mental, of all workers.
Protect the safety and health of all workers through continuous improvement.
Avoid as much as possible the generation of work accidents and risks at their origin.
Preserve good operating conditions of machinery, equipment and, in general, of material resources, achieving optimization in their use and minimizing the harmful effects on health and the risks for the generation of accidents.

Maintain the responsibility and commitment of the Management to provide a healthy and safe work environment.
Comply with current regulations on Occupational Health and Safety and occupational hazards.

Environmental policy

In accordance with the commitment to the conservation of the planet, we start from the premise of ABSOLUTE RESPECT FOR THE ENVIRONMENT in the development of all our activities. And we attend not only to the needs of the present, but to the extent possible those that the Environment and Society as a whole will require in the future.

The basic principles that will govern the Environmental Policy of the company are the following:

We will optimize the consumption of natural resources and raw materials.

We will increase energy efficiency and promote the use of cleaner alternative energies.
We must prevent and minimize the generation of polluting loads generated by equipment and machinery.
In our actions we will prevent, mitigate, correct and if necessary offset the environmental impacts on the population and ecosystems.
We will be attentive and willing to adopt cleaner technologies and continuous improvement practices in environmental management.
We will look for a way to minimize generation and take advantage of waste.

With this policy, the company expresses its commitment to the environment, the well-being of future generations and its love for nature.

Sustainable tourism policy

The POSADA ECO TURISTICA VILLA ROUSE is a rural accommodation located in the Municipality of Gachantivá-Boyacá, which offers accommodation services, food and beverages, hiking, experiential workshop of ancestral dough, under a concept of rural and community tourism.

Aware of the importance of maintaining sustainable tourism development, and having assumed the principles specifically adopted in the Sectorial Technical Standard NTS – TS 002, POSADA ECO TURISTICA VILLA ROUSE is committed to:

1. Customer satisfaction.

2. The responsible, rational and technical use of natural resources.

3. The reduction of the socio-environmental impact and the prevention of pollution that its operation could generate, carrying out a sustainable management of its activities through the adoption of commitments aimed at preventing, eliminating or reducing the impact of our facilities and activities, both internal and external, as well as optimizing the sustainability of the POSADA ECO TURISTICA VILLA ROUSE, improving its behavior with the environment.

4. The prevention of occupational accidents, diseases of professional origin and damage to property.

5. Compliance with current legal requirements applicable to the activity of the institution, which regulate the effects generated by tourist activity.

6. Motivate and train our staff with training and awareness actions on the principles of sustainable tourism, to promote good environmental practices in the environment, participate in external activities, and report both internally and externally on the company's environmental progress and actions .

To guarantee that our commitments are fulfilled, we will develop training programs, allocation of economic, logistical and human resources, as a means of implementing NTS-TS 002.

This sustainable tourism policy will be updated whenever circumstances require, adopting and publishing new sustainability objectives in both cases.
